Beautiful work & an Artist in Need

In July, an electrical fire tore through the studio of artist Kimberley Willcox. You can visit her website here.

Susan Lomuto of the Daily Art Muse was kind enough to spread the word about this tragedy. She is also sponsoring a $150 book collection give away to help raise money for Kimberley to re-establish her studio. You can see some of Kimberley's incredibly moving work, get the details (including a heart wrenching post-fire photo ) and find a link to donate here.

All I can say is there but for Grace......

Any amount of donation is appreciated - and you might just get some seriously cool books! Hurry - the giveaway ends tomorrow, Aug. 22 at 11:59 EST - but of course, the wonderful feeling of helping someone in need lasts a whole lot longer. :^D

The details of one person's journey are important to us all.

Care for yourselves so that you can care for others.

Dear ms Perri,it's been a while since i saw or heard from you in jewelrylessons.com Have you given up on that site. Please don't coz people like me, a newbie, thrive on your comments and inspiration.
I know that with the happenings in this last few months, made you feel "disheartened" but guess what, there is a blessing in disguise. People are now cautious of their designs. They are made aware of the need to quote the artists that they got the inspiration from or who they copied it from. It's evolving for the good. I'm sure and hope...
So please come back,i await eagerly for your new designs and tutorials. Till then take care.

Given up? no. But it does concern me greatly when I hear that people's private messages are being read and some are being essentially threatened with being banned because of private conversations and even conversations OFF SITE.

I signed on there with high hopes - but it is getting harder to remain.

I'm not done yet.....

:^D
